The Artist Behind the Work

I’m Sabrina Collins, a charcoal artist drawn to realism, emotion, and the beauty found in light and shadow.

My work is created slowly and intentionally, often building from darkness until the subject begins to emerge. I’m especially drawn to animals, expressive faces, and quiet moments of connection — the kinds of images that make you stop and look a little longer.

My journey back to art has been anything but linear. After years away from drawing, returning to it became more than simply picking up a pencil again. It became a rediscovery of something I thought I had lost.

Today, I create original charcoal artwork, limited-edition fine art prints, and commissioned pieces from my studio in Colorado Springs. Every piece is made by hand, with patience, experimentation, and an attention to detail that has become a defining part of my work.

For me, art is about more than creating an accurate image. It is about finding the feeling within it — and bringing that feeling into the light.
